On the 21st of December 2023, Tewet and NEC successfully signed the subcontract agreement for the North-South Commuter Railway (NSCR) Phase 1 Project - Tutuban to Malolos stations.

In preparation for the LRT-1 Cavite Extension Project, last November 2023, Tewet engineers together with MSI Global and LRMC, conducted a visit to Shanghai, China for the Hardware factory acceptance test, Training Installation, and Site Commissioning of Automatic gates, Ticket vending machines, and Person with Disabilities (PWD) service gates at the ELIS Infotech manufacturing company.

Currently, the Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT-1) consists of stations from Roosevelt to Baclaran located in Metro Manila. With the efforts of Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) and Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA), LRT-1 will be extended southbound to the province of Cavite therefore naming it the “LRT-1 Cavite Extension Project”. Stations are as follows,

1) Redemptorist Station

2) MIA Station

3) Asiaworld Station

4) Ninoy Aquino Station

5) Dr. Santos Station

Tewet is working with MSI Global in supplying the Automated Fare Collection Systems for the 5 stations of the project as well as providing local project management and installation.
